I am an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Senior Scholar at the Center for Health Security.

My team researches technology and policy approaches to preventing pandemics and strengthening biosecurity, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence applications and safety. I completed my M.D. at Stanford University and previously worked at Google AI.
